OUR PROJECT ON WATER

"If you can ski on snow, why can't you ski on water ?" asked Ralph Samuelson one day in the winter of 1922.

Water skiing is a sport that emerged in the early 1920s.
It was first experimented with by French alpine hunters on Lake Annecy, but was really invented by the American Ralph Samuelson in 1922.

We are delighted to introduce Claire, who is completing a 2-month work placement at a school specialising in mechanical and production engineering.

Her work placement project was to develop and manufacture two baby skis and a wakesurf in our workshop in Doussard in collaboration with Clémentine Lucine, several times world champion water skier and Director of the Ski Nautique Club Sevrier Annecy.

Made from the same materials as our skis, including bamboo, balsa and carbon. We're delighted to have put our expertise and the quality of the materials we use to good use in another board sport.

See you this summer at the Sevrier Club on the shores of Lake Annecy with Clémentine Lucine to try out these prototypes.
